Positive: Short summary: Everything was perfect! The hosts, the house, location on the lake, breakfast, the views, the pier, etc. Longer story: We couldn't have picked a better guest house than this! Honestly, in all of our vacations, we have never met more welcoming hosts than Günther and his family. We felt welcome from the moment we stepped through the door. Even before that, actually - with all the communication prior to our arrival. The family and their hard working personnel are always there to ask you if you need anything and nothing is a problem. We had quite a few laughs and nice conversations together. They all speak English, German, even some Slovenian to surprise us :). The house is located a 3 minute walk from the center, where the restaurants and bars are, but it is still just far enough that it so peaceful, which we loved. We were there for the 1st of May, so not in peak season, but I can imagine even during summer it would be a perfect location for the reason stated. The rooms are nice and spacious, bed comfortable and of course, the balcony with lake view is amazing! The Sun woke us up through the window every day, so magical! We had breakfast at one of the outside tables every morning and it was really a highlight of every day. Birds chirping, the lake beneath our feet, perfect! Their private pier is also a great bonus, you can sunbathe there, go swimming, borrow the pedal boat or the rowing boat or the SUP board for free and just go and enjoy the lake. It is also a perfect location for morning yoga before breakfast. Alone on the pier, warmed by the rising sun, really idyllic. I could go on and on about this place, but you really have to experience it yourself! I wholeheartedly recommend Haus am See! Thank you Günther and family for an amazing stay, we will definitely be back!
